Gaufres de Lieges (Belgian waffles from Lieges)

1 cup all purpose flour (120g)
1 large egg beaten
1 ounce of vanilla sugar (you can make your own by adding vanilla pods to normal sugar...) optional
1 tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup warm milk (not boiling)
1/4 cup warm water (60ml)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 packages of active dry yeast
9 tablespoons unsalted butter (130gr), at room temperature
a pinch of salt
