A Simply Elegant Peach Tart

Ingredients in this Recipe

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier (optional... but really if you have it, go for it!)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 2 tablespoon peach jam made ahead easily with fresh peaches cooked down with a little water and sugar for a few hours then pureed. *store bought is fine as long as it's not too sweet.
  • 1/2 cup ice water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons lard, cubed *you could substitute for crisco here but I don't like using hydrogenated oils
  • 7 8 ripe peaches, skinned and sliced
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed and very cold
