1 teaspoon sherry vinegar
1/2 ounce dried porcini mushrooms, reconstituted in 1 cup hot water, drained & minced
1/2 pound button mushrooms, minced
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 small yellow onions, finely chopped
3 tablespoons butter, divided
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
salt, to taste
