1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal (not stone ground)
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons water
4 5 tablespoons ice water
7 ounces dried figs (stems removed), chopped
